Farnol brand launch

A new capsule concept label has launched in London and we are loving their classic style. Farnol invited Off The Cuff LDN to The living room private suite at The Hoxton Hotel to celebrate the launch of the brand with their “Gifting Suite” event. We were shown into the suite and guided through a modern living area full of PR personnel laughing and eating together. We were then lead into a fantastic showroom-like space: pristine and ordered, the minimalist collection looked fantastic on the display rails. We were then encouraged to …shop?! (The brand wished to gift us all an item of our choice). So, after we shot the super scene we enthusiastically tried to select our favourite item from the wearable products.

Farnol focuses on ten seasonless, essential items per the men’s and women’s collections. The garments are designed with the idea that they can be fashioned in multiple ways easily depending on the occasion. The brand intends to encourage consumers to rethink their buying habits into this minimalist mindset. Available in small, medium, and large standard sizings, trying on is not a necessity, which is ideal for online shopping.

There are no plans for the online store to become a physical shop in the initial launch period of Farnol and we support this idea with current rent prices and increasing online platform popularity and success. The plan is for new collections to be released seasonally, like most brands, however each item will but not differ too far from the last collection or minimalist design style, with only fabrics adhering to weather and seasonal colour changes. This way Farnol keep their classic everyday essentials and ensure they remain suitable for the modern world.

Quality over quantity is particularly preferred in modern society and the brand has acknowledged this whilst backing the customer requirements with affordable pricing ensuring it is accessible for everyone. Founded by Mitchel Farnol alongside Co-creator Gareth Olyott, the two aimed to create a lifestyle brand with a clean, simple design and have done exactly that. The two have thoughtfully curated the fabulous collection made from materials handpicked by the team and pride themselves in providing accessible luxury essentials that form the backbone of a modern wardrobe of timeless pieces.

We particularly loved the outwear offerings; Farnol’s cross-seasonal men’s coats and jackets include the timeless mac jacket, a raincoat design for all eventualities, which comes in a variety of hues. I was a particular fan of the men’s orange everyday hooded anorak. The all weather jacket is ideal for all environments with its three layers of breathable showerproof material. Hooded, fully seam-sealed and internal pockets create a jacket that is clean, simple and svelte. The label recommends pairing this with a classic cotton t-shirt for an effortless look, and we could not agree with the style advice more. You can never have too many t-shirts, especially when they’re classic and cotton rich, and that is exactly what sort of product Farnol provides!
