National Prosecco Day Cocktail Picks.
This Thursday marks what has to be one of the nation’s favourite days; National Prosecco Day (13th August). It may fall on a weekday, but Bacardi has put together the ultimate prosecco recipes to help you celebrate and cool off from the heatwave.
Below are four of the finest prosecco based cocktails around. We’ve listed the ingredients needed and simple step by step instructions on how to perfect your prosecco cokctails.
The St Germain Spritz
- 40ml St-Germain
- 60ml sparkling wine (Champagne or Prosecco)
- 60ml sparkling water
Method: Mix the ingredients below over ice in a collins glass and garnish with a lemon spritz.
Ocho Old Cuban
- 50 ml BACARDÍ Reserva Ocho
- 4 mint leaves
- 25 ml sugar syrup
- 30 ml lime juice
- 2 dashes bitters
- 60 ml Prosecco
Method: Shake all ingredients (except sparkling). Double strain and top with Prosecco. Garnish with mint leaf float.
- 25ml Star of Bombay
- 15ml Lemon juice
- 15ml ml Sugar syrup
- Top Sparkling wine
Method: Shake, strain into a chilled glass, top with sparkling wine and then garnish.
Red Summer Spritz
- 35ml Grey Goose
- 4 Watermelon chunks
- 1 pinch of salt 50ml Prosecco
Method: Shake and double strain. Top with Prosecco
