Pure Scot Whisky Makes The Finest Scotch Cocktails.

Hailing from the Bladnoch Distillery, Pure Scot is a fantastic blend from Mr David Prior and renowned Whisky guru, Mr Charles Maclean. David took over the distillery back in 2015 and since then, the pair and their passionate team have been hard at work bringing Pure Scot to life.

The distillery uses their unique Bladnoch Single Malt and combine it with Whisky from Speyside, the Highlands and Islay to bring Pure Scot to life with a crisp, smooth and contemporary taste. Pure Scot is the perfect base for any Whisky cocktail, or simply enjoyed neat.

Whilst we here at OTC are partial to a good neat whisky, today we’re providing inspiration on whisky based cocktails.

Pure Scot Whisky Cocktails
The Venturer

Ingredients:

  • 45ml Pure Scot.
  • 15ml Apricot Brandy.
  • Barspoon Maraschino liqueur.
  • 20ml Fresh lemon juice.
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters.
  • Egg white.

Method: Dry shake, shake with ice, strain over block ice in an Old Fashioned glass and garnish with an orange peel and a cherry.

The Vanguard

Ingredients:

  • Firstly, 50ml Pure Scot.
  • Secondly, 10ml Honey syrup (1:1).
  • Add 10ml Fino Sherry.
  • Then add 10ml Fresh lemon juice.
  • Finally, top with ginger beer.

Method: Build in a Collins glass with ice and swizzle, top with ginger beer and garnish with fresh lemon wheels and a sprig of rosemary.

The Contender

Ingredients:

  • 50ml Pure Scot Virgin Oak.
  • 20ml Orange syrup.
  • 7.5ml Fino Sherry.
  • 10ml Amaro Montenegro.
  • 1 dash of orange bitters.

Method: Stir down in a mixing glass, strain into a Nick & Nora glass anf garnish with lemon peel and thyme.

The Entertainer

Ingredients:

  • 50ml Pure Scot Virgin Oak.
  • 10ml Orgeat.
  • 15ml Grapefruit juice.
  • 10ml Fresh lemon juice.

Method: Shake and double strain into a champagne flute, top with a splash of soda and garnish with a grapefruit peel.
