South Place Hotel X St Germain present The Mystical Garden with Sophie Tea
Jump out of those January blues and head to South Place Hotel where they are kick starting Spring early with the world’s first French elderflower liqueur, St-Germain, to create the ‘Mystical Garden’. Through inspirational art, life drawing and delicious cocktails they will be celebrating female empowerment and body positivity throughout the season in the space.
St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur and South Place Hotel have collaborated to launch the new ‘Mystical Garden’ along-side a very special and inspirational exhibition by Sophie Tea – one of the first people to earn £1m from her art through social media. To celebrate the change of season, launching 21st January, the Secret Garden at South Place Hotel will be transformed into an enchanting wisteria haven, inspired by St-Germain’s French origins and created by world renowned florists, McQueen’s, who have curated floral displays for royalty and the rich and famous.
Low ABV trends are still a big hit, with drinkers being more conscious than ever about what they are consuming, with the ‘Apéro’ culture and therefore Spritz drinks gaining momentum – this is where St-Germain comes in. The world’s first artisanal French liqueur, St-Germain, is made with fresh, wild, elderflower blossoms, handpicked once a year in the late spring, in every bottle and is the perfect ingredient to any cocktail.
The Mystical Garden will transport you to the French countryside with a selection of delicious cocktails from St-Germain’s special menu, including their signature serve – St-Germain Spritz – a simple combination of St-Germain Liqueur, Sparkling Wine and Club Soda, providing the drinker with a simple yet refreshing cocktail to enjoy in the garden at South Place Hotel this season.
Art is a big cultural pillar at South Place Hotel, where they pride themselves in working with young emerging artists. Therefore, from now throughout the months of Spring, Sophie will be exhibiting a hand-picked selection from her incredible NUDE collection along-side the ‘Mystical Garden’.
Sophie Tea is one of the UK’s most exciting new artist and South Place Hotel is honoured to be exhibiting her work. Sophie has always been fascinated by the female form and each colourful piece has an incredibly powerful story behind every brave and inspiring subject – from women with mastectomy scars to women who in the past have been too afraid to take their clothes off.
St-Germain is known for celebrating women in the bar industry through their programme called “Les Femmes du Bar”, a programme which aims to build a community for ladies to connect, exchange, share and grow together through education and mentorship. Because of this, St-Germain has created, and placed on the menu for all to try, a special cocktail for Sophie Tea in her name – the Sophie Mar-TEA-ni.
The #SouthPlaceMagic won’t end there; keep your eyes peeled for more details on the Mystical Garden’s Spring events which will blossom throughout the season.
