The Chapar is a premium personal styling service for men, they eliminate the hassle of shopping for the modern male by hand-delivering personalised outfits to your door.
The concept originated from a father and son who believed that the way men buy clothes is fundamentally flawed. In general, men don’t like to shop. They don’t have time for shopping on the high street and find shopping online overwhelming.
Before I begin, I have to admit, I do quite enjoy shopping; finding different pieces from brands I am familiar with along with discovering new brands and experimenting with how their clothes fit me in comparison to other labels is quite exciting for me. Despite this, I personally consider my time extremely valuable, and lately, I just haven’t had the time to stay on top of my wardrobe as much as I would like. That’s where The Chapar came in.
November/ December is usually the busiest time of year for me as we have so many projects on the go. I was in desperate need to refresh my wardrobe for the AW season and prepare for the new year but I just didn’t have the time to trawl the internet or hit the high street so I gave The Chapar a call to see if they could help me out.
I’m happy to say The Chapar delivered (literally) and the process couldn’t be simpler.
After providing some initial information such as my size and body shape along with my style preferences I scheduled a call with Sophie Hunt, my personal stylist. We chatted about my love for British brands and how I was looking for an AW refresh. With the colder weather setting in I was also on the hunt for potential layering pieces. Ideally, I was after a couple of new outfits but also pieces to combine with my existing wardrobe, so we agreed neutral, earthy tones would be the way to go.
A few days later my trunk arrived and I wasn’t the only one who was excited…
Upon opening my very own personalised Chapar trunk I was thrilled to see a variety of British brands that would equip me suitably for the colder season. Sophie had taken on my comments and nailed it, selecting some inspired AW pieces to include in my trunk. She had also gone above and beyond my expectations by providing some style notes on the trunk, outfits selections, layering suggestions and colours combinations all on a smart Chapar branded A5 sheet – a nice touch!
Using a combination of Sophie’s expertise, my new Chapar trunk selections and my existing wardrobe I was able to put together a variety of British AW styles.
I put together a few flatlays using a broad spectrum of British brands including Sunspel, John Smedley, Ted Baker, Whistles, Barbour, Hackett and Peter Werth to name a few.
The Hackett blazer I received was an extremely flexible piece and I was able to dress it up or down using the footwear provided by Sophie.
After experimenting with a few combinations I took a few shots of some of my favourite looks to send back to Sophie.
I was extremely happy with the service and my experience of using The Chapar. A quick 10-minute chat with Sophie saved me so many hours. On top of that, The Chapar were also able to fulfil my desire for exploring new brands by sending a wonderful knit from a brand I had not encountered first hand before, Wolsey.
I had the opportunity to build up a relationship with Sophie as I could contact her with any questions I had regarding my trunk. Feeding back to your stylist means that the service only improves with continued use. Sophie notes any pieces that get sent back and adds comments to my profile for next time.
I’d have no problem recommending The Chapar to my friends and family. The fact that you only pay for what you keep and there is no premium charged means that you really are saving valuable time and receiving expert style advice in the process.
Why not take the opportunity to freshen up your 2018 wardrobe with your very own Chapar trunk?
