Two Tantalising Winter Tipples To Try During Lockdown.
As we progress through lockdown 3.0 I’ve lent my hand to mixing a cocktail or two.
The past couple of weeks two standout variations on an espresso martini and a whiskey sour went down particularly well (if I do say so myself). Today, I wanted to share the spirits that made these winter tipples so tantalisingly good.
Quick Brown Fox Coffee Liqueur Espresso Martini
A premium coffee liqueur all the way from New Zealand. A handcrafted liqueur, it is low in sugar and ABV, and has no artificial flavours as they believe that artificial ingredients compromise the level and quality of flavour achieved. The coffee beans are specifically selected and specially roasted by hand to slightly darker than espresso, this helps bring the unique and complex flavour profile. It’s a decadent and stunning product, really tasty on the rocks, in an Espresso Martini or in a “Foxy Old Fashioned”.
Available at Majestic.
Kinahan’s Kasc Project Whiskey Whiskey Sour
The original pioneers of Irish whiskey, Kinahan’s, have launched their daring and unconventional new whiskey The Kasc Project. First of its kind, The Kasc Project is a whiskey made in bespoke handmade hybrid casks constructed of 5 different and unusual wood varieties, each bringing a unique and rich flavour to the whiskey. The first expression ‘Kasc Project’ described as ‘a riot of unconventional flavours’ comprises of a blend of malt and grain whiskeys, bottled at 43% ABV with no filtration and without adding artificial colouring.
Available at Master of Malt.
