With the release of yet more amazing new work from the “Star boy” himself, The Weeknd; we take a look at the icon’s superb street to suited styles.
The Bomber Best Friend
It’s been a big on trend piece for a couple of seasons now, but The Weeknd has been known to sport a bomber to a multitude of occasions since he first entered the musical limelight. He uses this jacket as a staple piece and then tends to comprise the rest of his outfit around it; often with tighter fitting garments to flatter the silhouette. Colours and styles of this adored item range profusely and the artist has taken full advantage of this. The majority of the time a monotone base outfit is used which focuses the attention on to the key garment.

The Weeknd loves a natural colour pallet and (as you will read below) layering. The 3.1 Philip Lim tail shirt bomber jacket on Farfetch.com, combines both these factors. The beige cotton blend jacket has been finished to a high standard with a tonal curved shirt tail hem, together with concealed front fastening and button cuffs, among other insightful details.
Also available on Farfetch’s website, The Ami Alexandre Mattiussi lightweight bomber jacket is a perfect purchase for that extra fashion purpose layer. The navy cotton blend main body, teamed with the contrast black cuffs, allows the garment to sit splendidly with most outfit colour combinations, making it a faultless wardrobe staple.
As well as being the king of casual style, The Weeknd has red carpet chic mastered. One of Off The Cuff’s favourite looks from the lyrical genius has to be his all black tux with a sophisticated satin collar that he exhibited at the Grammy awards earlier this year.
Farfetch provide a similarly elegant, yet individual item by Saint Laurent that can be dressed up or down and would be a perfect piece for the winter months. The velvet single-breasted blazer by the designer brand also features peaked, satin lapels and is catwalk crafted in Italy.
It’s hard to pull off camouflage without looking like you’re about to do some form of outdoor activity, however this style icon continuously and effortlessly exemplifies how to wear the print perfectly. Jigsaw’s tubular jacquard camo crew is a seamless and subtle way to wear this print. Part of a new collection: “Men in Motion” by the brand, this aesthetic piece magnifies the classic camouflage design in an alpaca mix of navy and bottle green tones. Combining classic, urban and modern, this jumper is definitely worth investing in!
All in black
The Weeknd has not only conquered how to wear all black attire on the red carpet; but also in everyday life without looking like a rock band groupie. Textural combinations of distressed, casual and smart fabrics often result in an amazing outfit for the singer.
Black skinny jeans are a key item of his and many other men’s wardrobe, check out Calvin Klein’s classic take on this staple which would be ideal to have in any wardrobe.
Add to the look: Check out the “Daigo Suede Bomber Jacket” available at AllSaints: the brand of black.
Long and layered
The mixing and matching of textural and tonal multi-length layers is a hard thing to do successfully. The Weeknd seems do this naturally.

A little bit of stylish eccentricity must always be addressed with famous fashion icons. This is one of my favourite and fun images of the star; the bold stripes are a perfect statement for the pictorial.
