With Spring just around the corner it’s tempting to dig out the short sleeves and Raybans but unfortunately it’s still freezing and I’m still wearing the arctic parka I bought for November. Nevertheless the next few months are the transition period to summer and it’s time to swap the wool for cotton & bring out the lighter colours.
Layering an outfit for spring should be noticeably different to winter, focusing on clean fresh colours rather than patterns and checks, and there is no better brand for this than NN.07.
If you’re not familiar, they are a Copenhagen based brand with a focus on making minimalist staples that last. The quality is in the subtlety of the design and the standard of the materials.
We’ve pulled together 3 simple layered looks to cover you for spring.
This is a great transition look from winter, a simple grey undershirt with a smart denim chambray shirt and a casual navy sweater over the top. This can also work well without the sweater; maybe open the shirt for a more relaxed feel.
This is your classic spring office look, a crisp white shirt with slim beige trousers and a grey jumper over the top.
Lastly, a look perfect for those spring weekends, olive green skinny chinos, a short sleeve stripe shirt and a beige oscar field jacket. The jacket is, in my opinion, one the best items they offer this season and will be great for those summer evenings as well. Add a pair of brown brogues and brown wayfarers and this look will get you through the next few months with an effortlessly cool style.
